Default Re: mandrus - offset- help - question

Hey Violenteer,

I have TSW Cadwells on my 05' Base, they are 19x8 and 20x10.

35mm offset for the front
42mm offset for the rear

235/35R19 front
285/30R20 rear

The fronts are EXTREMELY (about 1/8") close to the bolt where the shock mount is... They also rub a tiny bit right where the plastic fender meets the metal part in the front.

The rears rub on the inner fender about 1 inch up from the top of the tire... on bumps and really hard cornering. I had the left rear decide to grab the fender well at 135 in a turn one time.... It was um... a little unsettling, but i still beat the Corvette .

Right now im looking to figure out what offset will work the best. There is no good option for front spacers because they are too thin to have a hub centric.

The rears you can do a little but if you add too much then you'll have to roll the fender lip.

Now for what you suggested, the fronts cant be 8.5". With a 43mm and 8.5" you wont even get the wheel bolted on... it will hit that bolt I mentioned earlier. If you can find an 8"rim and a 225/35R19 tire with a high enough load rating, it wont rub at all on the front.

For the rears... try to find a 35mm for a 20x10... i wish i would have.

I am going to run a 295/25R20 on the back (its .2" smaller than stock diam.) Should eliminate the rub since its shorter, but I'm going with a 10mm or 15mm spacer.

Try to go for a 40 or 35mm offset and save the trouble of a spacer...

Hope that helps,
Matt
