Hey Kirk ... sorry to hear of this problem. I have worked with epoxy in the marine invironment before, and my experience with it is that epoxy and what appears to be a poly-ethylleen plastic will not hold real good. The bond is not great. If it cures and you can just twist it a little, it may come loose. If this happens, try a product called 3M Window Weld. This stuff is incredibly tenacious on most materials, and will cure pretty rock hard in 48 hrs. It is costly (@ $18.00) but it is what I used to repair the roadster back window seal, and it is holding up after 4 months. It comes in a tube like what is used in in a caulking gun, but smaller. Just cut off the tip and "squeeze" it out, otherwise you have to buy a special 3M caulk gun. I saved some, and if we get together to install that flip-up license holder I could bring it.
