Cause there is copper inside the hose end...and no 90 of plastic left at all....to me it looks like it should be a straight shot into the tank not a 90.

Is there that much pressure on this to pop it?
Somehow there is a vacuum held in the reservoir, so there must be some pressure.
I have found that using epoxies to mend plastic does not work too well. There needs to be a bond and PE does not bond well, glues and epoxies come in plastic tubes for a good reason. It sometimes looks good but any force and it separates cleanly. PE can be welded with the proper filler and the right equipment.
Finding a replacement is my best idea.
