No gravel truck just a mix of mother nature's wind blown sand with the occasional rock kicked up by the car your passing. Average windshield life for a car that is driven out of the city limits arround here is less then 2 years. My comuter car has had seven chip repairs in five years, the windshield is so pitted that I have decided to replace it on the next chip whid should happen next fall. By the way the ugly bras help but it also has it's own issues. I have one that I only use on road trips and on one three hour trip across the state I had weed seeds and pieces of hay get under the bra, but fortunately the expel clear bra protected the paint. The car is definitely a double bagger when it comes to road trips.
