really? im still waiting for you to say hello on the amg private lounge with the amg replica you own cruzin!! as for the clamps look at were they are pinched down. stick a small flat tip in there and pop it up. clamp is now loose. you will need a special tool (not the cruzinquick kind) to reinstall this clamp as it isnt intended to be removed.
if you had bothered at all to read the service manual(referenced more than once here ) you would have step by step instructions on how to remove this simple cover. if this clamp has you so perplexed maybe you should put down the tools and step away from the car.

I couldn't find anywhere that talked about removing that clamp so I figured one of you Veterans could help me. I'm wondering why it took you so many posts to tell me to simply use a small flat tip and pop it up. I just wasn't sure and didn't want to scratch up the plastic. For some reason you made it into a stupid question; and maybe it was. Again, sorry. I'm never going to go as far as some of you folks w/ the mods, because this really is my wife's car and I don't want her to get in any trouble. Bob Be
