i agree with you 150%, jimmy. btw, congrats on the correct srt-6 purchase. the one thing that stood out to me when i first drove the 6 (other than the permagrin) was the temp gauge. for these cars, just a hair below half-way when moving, just a hair above when idle. anything over that (especially when i don't own it, much less don't know know the history of it) is of grave concern.
Thanks, I love the car. I had a N/A for 3 years and loved it too. I took my time (6 months) and found this one. It just made my gut hurt when I saw this thread. The dealer did not know about this problem---who checked out this car? Man, what kind of business are they running? Really, no joke. They had a car on their lot that would overheat to the point that it would kill the A/C---where's the Quality Control? Could be OKAY, and I hope it is---hate to see a SRT6 go down, but if I was this guy I would get my money back---too many people on here can help him get a car. I know I will. Grave concern is what I have too--I want to know how many times this has happened, but no one can EVER answer that, so I would kill the deal!!!!
I want to make it CLEAR that I am not trying to "rain on his parade"---Just TOO big of a chance for too little of a reward! He only has a small window to get his money back. If he keeps working with them (the ones that NEVER caught the problem), he COULD be stuck with a MAJOR problem---JUST NOT WORTH IT!!! Too many cars that have NEVER overheated.
