Just me but in a pinch you can measure the circumference of the pullies and get meanigful readings without a indicating caliper. C = Pi x Diameter.

Pull the tape measure out wrap it around and measure from like the 1" mark to the end of the tape where it crosses. Remember that you started at 1" ( to avoid the lump on the end of the tape ) and you have the diameter with a bit of a calculator. Pi is about 3.1416 FYI.

6.28 or 6.25 would be about 2" in diameter. If you have a mm tape life is easier; otherwise to get mm just multiply inches by 25.4, thus 2" would be about 50.8mm
