Semi retired/disabled...so gas mileage is not an issue for me, but I average about 20 city and 29 highway. The XLR has a Northstar V8 with TVT with 325 HP and the V models have a supercharged version rated at 436 hp (some V models have been dyno'd at 536 HP straight from the dealer). My XLR has the D3 Research & Design Stage 1 package that brings it up to 405 HP, and still retains the original warranty from Cadillac. All the underpinnings and transmission are from the C5 Corvette platform and are hand built in Bowling Green, KY alongside the Corvettes. Unfortunately 2009 was the last year of the XLR due to the bailout of GM and there were only 1012 XLR's and 475 XLR V's built for 2009.
