How to pull the pump without losing an ounce.
I just did the pump and regulator upgrade from Needswings in anticipation of more testing of the fuel controller that I have been working on. To do this you have to swap the fuel pump which will drain all the fuel in the tank above you, nasty thought.
The photo shows the installation of the pump in process and the fuel line CLOSED to eliminate the loss of fuel. This works well and is NO COST using an existing adjustable wrench. To stop the fuel loss, I place a standard wrench on the hose and tighten the jaws to close off the fuel.
The closure of the jaws pinches the hose together closing the hole. To do this, you grab the jaws of wrench with you hand and pinch them closed while adjusting the screw to further tighten the jaws.
It works well, has not damaged any hoses for me and is easy to do when you need to shut off a small diameter hose temporarly.
Hope it helps ya sometime, Woody
