I saw a motocyclist do 194 MPH in the quarter milelast summer. Prepared track prepared bike Prepared driver. Still, scary as hell.
I asked him how the hell did he hang on accelerating that fast? He spread his thighs open "Velcro!"

That said, if you can find the right place and conditions go for it. But one would have to be properly prepared. Plan for the worst outcome. Hope for the best.

BTW, no one has answered your primary questions. How does one get it removed?
Get a tuner, like Eurocharged, to do it. They can drop a flash tune in to your crossie and custom program it to perform optimaly for the way you drive.
