The ability to go 180+ is overrated to me i would much rather have better acceleration. and your only talking about a few hundred rpm difference when cruising at 60. switching from 307 to a 327 gear isn't a major change. I have seen guys swap from 280 gears to 411 and drop 1.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile. if you follow that math the 327 gear could net you 2 tenths at the end of the track.
or we could just switch to a 411 gear
