Re: Is An SRT6 a Practical Daily Driver (In Snow If Needed)?
If you're buying it from a dealership, tell them to include a $500 beater. LOL This isn't a car you want to drive in the winter. There are members up here in MN that have and I did with my last one (base coupe) but even with a great set of blizzacks, it's still a rather unpleasant experience, especially in fresh wet snow, stop and go traffic or on bridge decks. Mind you this was with a manual so it will be compounded by the extra power of the SRT. Now I don't want to be a negative nancy and I'd love to see you buy this car because they truly are one of a kind and generally bring great new people to the community. That being said, save up for a beater for the next 5 months and put the SRT away when the snow flies.
BTW, I have relatives out in Huntington Station and was out there during the winter a few years ago. I now know why more states are using sand and gravel... NY is using up all the salt. LOL
Take care and hope you go get the SRT... and in a few months, a winter beater.
