It varies from State to state what you can do witha Salvage title. Any Vehicale that will pass inspection can and be titled can be licenced and driven on the road.
Some States still allow a Police inspection or a Dept of Revenue or Motor vehicles to be retitiled with out the Salvage marque. But it will always be on thehistory of the car.

Problems come with insurance as many companies donot insure Comp on a salvage vehicle. If you are going to race it or drive thewheels off thecar a salvage titled car is a good way to get more than you can afford.
I have had several salvage titled cars and currently drive a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee with leather heated seats, auto air, four wheel drive, Highlift kit, all the bells and whistles with 120K on the clock for $3K

Except for the "Salvage" on the title the car is perfect.

It takes next to nothing in damage to put a Cossfire from say Florida, in the salvage bin. By one and drive it like you stole it if you can. Then you can leave the garage queen at home.

If I did not have a ton of money tied upin the CAA, I would have bought that car in a heartbeat. No problem.
