Went this morning and got new batteries for both key fobs, and replaced them after the alarm sounded off again. I'm noticing that the alarm is doing this when the temp outside gets to around 95 deg and higher. I did run a diagnostic using an OBD II code puller and have no codes showing. Next time it goes off I guess I'll start replacing fuses, then the relay. I did see that on a SAAB forum that the cause of their alarms acting up were the rechargeable batteries in the alarm itself. Their batteries were at the end of their life had had to be replaced.
If the issue is due to the hot climate here in Texas can someone please advise what part of the system could be the culprate?
If it's not the car's battery, it is most likely the SKREEM (alarm) module ~ $160 and is located on the firewall.
There are about 4 different threads running right now for the same problem. Read them.
