Yes don't sell it, unless your Silverado is in the 11's, you'll want to keep it.
These cars are pretty easy to work on, I've done all my mods myself and don't even own a code reader. If you use the right parts and companies you'll never throw a code with mods. Familiarize yourself with the plumbing and it will all come together. PM me if you need more help. The link above is right on the money.
