Default Re: is this a good deal on 2004 crossfire coupe

Just bought an 04 Alabaster white/ med. grey leather automatic in 02/10 for $12,500.00. It only had 8,551 miles on it and had been kept in a heated garage and covered (in IN). Never saw rain or snow. Absolutely perfect showroom condition. Original owner only put about 20 miles/ week on it as a weekend pleasure car. Zero stone chips, zero curb rash on wheels. Seller included the custom Crossfire luggage (still in plastic and unused) all books and records (2 oil changes and 1 ABS sensor replaced under warranty, and a new battery) the new original window sticker and even a matchbox sized white crossfire model. All my friends thought it was a brand new '10 model. (I know, they don't have new '10 models). Paid $650.00 to ship in a container to my home in TX. So far only expense has been to change to Rotex Gold Brake Pads on the the front (68.00 for pads, 90.00 for labor) which cut the brake dust about 90%. Wheels actually stay clean now. Also, paid Chrysler $150.00 to transfer the remainder of the 7 yr. / 70k mi powertrain warranty which will run through 07/2011 (Probably won't need it, but it seemed cheap to give me piece of mind) The car is amazing. I feel like I've got something that very few people have and won't feel the need to replace it just because a new version has come out with a minor styling change. I'm 50 and purchased this as a surprise for my son's 16th birthday. It is his first car, and honestly it cost me less than a used Honda Civic coupe. He is elated! Most of his friends parents spent about $15K on first cars for their kids and they all hate my guts, because it looks like a $30K-$40K car to people who aren't familiar with them, and I spent less that $13K. Hope this information helps you. I'm a happy owner, and this forum has a wealth of information to help you be informed and make a good decision. Good Luck
