If you believe the receiver is fitted on top of the dash as standard then why not believe that the glass restricts the signal.
You have seen the official installation drawing and yet you still believe it should be fitted on top of the dash?

Who installed this unit?
Have you followed the instructions on how to set the system up?
You have been pretty thin on all the details so far, there are people on this forum that can solve most problems but none as far as I know can read minds and the Amazing Kreskin cannot be reached these days.
