This is assuming you have a 6speed. The boot around the shifter comes up pretty easily and then carefully lift up on the console where the switch is. The switch then will just pull out from the console. Unplug the switch from the cable in the bottom and then follow the procedure above.

I've had mine out a few times because the switch keeps pushing through the console, I'm getting the dealership to order a new console piece under warranty.
