Re: New Chrysler Concept Car--'Firepower'
Since Vipers and SRT10s don't sell that fast at 80k the firepower would differently sell if it's in the High 50s -60 range! Fast maybe not people still aren't buying concept cars like they do Porsche and Corvettes! the SRT6 fell flat and are sitting on lots now the Crossfire is one of the best looking cars out there and is still barely leaving the lots (very little advertising). So i don't think a 5000 production run would sell much over msrp! Remember the NSX it was high for a few months and then under after 6 months on the lots! It also had one of the best reviews ever for a new sports car going for it.
Also the firepower is only 2 seats that limits it to less than 10% of the new buyers out there plus cost. Then that drops down to 5%, that group can afford any car such as, porsche ,mercedes SLs SLKs, Corvette, XLR, Jaguar XK8. They buy prestige and known resale VALUE! fast seller to them no! hard sell 1st year!
Now if it's a great car then The old Viper buyers and owners will be the group that eats them up at first and the Crossfire people too if they can get out of their cars. That's their target 1st and 2nd year buyers.
