Try changing the crankshaft position sensor first... then see how it runs.... I had mine go flakey at the track and it did a similar thing with the rough running, but I shut it right down and re-started and it ran okay. I did end up replacing the CPS after I got it home.... it is very easy and I think the sensor is about $70 at NAPA.... same Bosch part as factory..
