Thanks for your help Tunaglove. I guess then that the only way to get rid of the CEL is to replace or fix the pump. I hope it is repairable - they cost over £300 new! I'm gonna check the PCM too as I have read that these are prone to going wrong, which may have caused the pump to get fried in the first place.

I am sure I read something on here about a giant resistor to get rid of the CEL!!
