Same thing happened to me, but instead of the "gas" station, it was the grocery store with food in the hatch!!! The SKREEM module went out on mine. Look on here and you will see that it has happened before. You ONLY have 30 times to try to start it before the ECM will turn off permanently---new ECM big bucks at dealer. I saw this online so I did the following procedure. Disconnect battery for 20 seconds. Reconnect, and I would get THREE "cranks" (the car would crank, but no start) after three---nothing. If you started over you would get three more. I did this for the dealer and TOLD them about the total of 30 attempts. They called me two days later and told me that my ECM blew-up!!! Since I had the service writer put on the work order that I TOLD them not to go over 29, they paid for the computer. I had to buy the SKREEM and a new key---total $428.00. Hope that this helps! Jimmy
