It's unfortunate, but the dealers don't always get it right. Yes, you have to pay to transfer
the 7/70 powertrain wtty. The f/i person at your dealership can do this online for you.
Also, it is supposed to be done within 30 days of purchase! My dealer didn't know this
detail. The manual says it should cost $150.00, but then I got a $25.00 refund! Go figure.
The manufactures are certainly looking for ways to cut expenses. One more reason to document any non-dealer maintenance you have done!
