Its not that bad on the ballasts. Generally you should wait 5 seconds between cutting them on again. Running them as fogs isnt the issue. Make sure you get 35w kits as the 55w kits have been known to melt the plastic housings of small lights due to the extra heat, plus the higher wattage tends to wash out the color
