Air Bag deployment has nothing to do with a car being totaled. Most states dictate a vehicle as being totaled once its required estimate of repairs reaches 75% of the cars market value. Air Bags are very expensive, so they do push a car over the edge of being totaled quite often, but deployment doesn't automatically mean it's totaled.
In georgia most of the time If 2 or more airbags deploy (and its reported to the state) the state issues a salvage title
