well i'm sure as you saw from my post earlier I am no expert but I have been doing my homework lately because i'm thinking about putting hids in my fogs and headlights since my fogs are fried but everything I've heard is even though the halogen runs a bit hotter the hid is longer and will create more heat closer to the clear part of the housing and can create heat issues. but that’s just hear say. :/
