You can not check the fluid---lack of a dip stick---sealed trans. This may be the reason for the sell of the car. If the fluid is low, this can cause many problems. The trans are know to leak at the seal on the side. Check this first.

97K miles. Do I take it to the dealership to check tranny fluid, and or add fluid?
