Big engines produce more heat. What your seeing seems normal to me. With the engine being a 'V' engine, you have two exhaust manifolds, these get very hot and therefore give off lots of heat.

Provided you check your fluid levels on a fairly regular basis (weekly would suffice) then you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
