according to m/b theres 2 trains of thought on this issue.
1. the entire s/c has to be replaced regardless of the failure. from bearing to rotors.
2. replace the pulley assy. along with the clutch assy.
maybe the tech could confer with a certified amg mech from a m/b dealership ti get a better idea of the issue.
if the anyway you could get some fotos it would help us to determine what parts are availabe for replacememnt. remember the dealers typically replace the entire s/c assy for a pulley bearing failure. bearing is 50$ s/c is 7000$
