3/4 s of a mile, would have heated up the motor, piston, rings, bearings enough to seize...temp go down, they will move again...if you didn't spin a rod bearing, or break a ring...you might just luck out...but someone needs to drop the pan, to look at rod bearings...I wouldn't worry about the rings right now...but, no it wouldn't start while seized...now, get your head up and move on...**** happens my friend....women come and go, and engine's blow, but it's your friends who will always know...**** happens....lol
