from a person who goes there regularly....take the 402 ...cross at sarnia ....
then take (forget the number) the interstate south ...then take M -59 west across to I 75.have some construction on M 59 but still shorter than going through detroit. M 59 is at about 20 mile road. jusdt my $0.02.
