Check the local laws in the part of Germany you are going. Some require M+S (mud and snow) rated tires. I went with the Bridgstone RE960 A/S (all Season), they also have a 40k warrantee...

I've had them on for about 6-mo and have been satisfied with thier wet and dry handling. (FWIW, I was constantly hydroplaning down here in FL with the Falkens-NOT safe)

BTW, I'm moving to Geilenkirchen in February...

I heard that too about winter tires required in parts. That will stink, but hopefully A/S will fit the bill.

I saw the RE960AS on the AAFES website, but didn't see the price. I'm headed to Stuttgart in January.
