I've only changed the oil 1x on my 07 Coupe. But I put in the 8.5 qts (8 liters) as the manual called for and the level on the dipstick was fine. As long as you have the level in the safe zone, than the engine is protected. Just routinely check the oil level and add oil, if & when required.

And as a general rule of thumb, it's better to be a little low on oil level than over full. Over full typically increases the likelhood of foaming, which can lead to major engine problems. Not sure if that still holds true for the synthetics, but the dino oils with detergent additives can really 'foam up' with increased agitation.

Another interesting fact is that most synthetic oils, if spilled, will clean up easily using nothing more than soap & water. That's a little scary, when you think about it!
