About two years ago, I went to a local dealer to test drive a used BMW that a friend was interested in buying. I test drove it and pulled into an empty space in the lot.
The salesman asked how I liked it and I said it was nice. Standing there I noticed a beautiful white fastback sports car. What's that ?, I asked; he said, it's a Crossfire.....do you want to drive it? Yes, I said.
Took the same route as the BMW ride, mostly freeway. Decided to punch it and quickly noticed I was going 100 mph! Hit the brakes and was quickly back to 60 mph. Really nice, I thought!
Back to the lot and the salesman asked how I liked it. Loved it, I said. Do you want to buy it? Yes, I said, I think I do. It was a 2004 LTD with 24K on the odometer and I got it for $11,900 (selling price).
Now THAT was an impulse buy

and still no regrets.
