Took the xfire in for transmission leak service, also mentioned the engine fluttering problem. Mechanic said he has test driven a few xfires and said everything sounded NORMAL to him during a test drive. Satellite, keep us posted if any of your maintenance "solves" the problem.

Yeah, it very well might be...which I'm OK with. I tend to have very sensitive ears anyway...I was a musician until I realized it couldn't pay the bills...lol...
I may have already mentioned this before, but it is absolutely ONLY when the S/C engages, I can finally confirm this. In fact, that hesitation that everyone talks about is right when the flutter will start. It will give a little "burst" of flutter with the hesitation, and then from there on out you can hear it. Neutral revs, or below about 2k RPMs...smooth as silk.
I think I might try putting the stock pulley back on and seeing if it hear or feel anything noticeable besides less power...
