Default Re: SRT lookalike for sale in Murfreesboro

Okay, so I went by and gave it a good looking over. I didn't do a full fluid inspection, records auditing, and the like; but I think I gave it a fair once-over.

I took several more photos today in full light, and overall it's an 8/10. Paint is in great shape, no noticeable dents and if there were minor door dings, I sure didn't see them. I got a good closeup of the hood, and could not detect any swirlmarks. Bottom line, I think this car was garage-kept. Clutch still felt good and tight. There was a minor wiggle in the shifter, nothing crazy but it was a bit looser than mine. His is, however, twice the mileage (70K). You could tell it was adult-driven, had not been abused.

Going over certiain bumps, I could hear a rattle or two in the rear hatch. Car has a SRT spoiler on front and rear. No spoiler light, no codes, no beeping. So, apparently they did a proper job of silencing the alarm and grounding out the wing motor. Kudos for that.

Underhood, it was clean but not spotless. Some writing was on the ECU box, not sure what that was all about. Battery appeared to be factory original. Owner had installed an ebay CAI (basically a warm-air-intake) and i could tell a huge difference between it and mine. This car felt sluggish compared to mine, no doubt due to the intake.

Borla muffler sounds great. A notch or two quieter than my Ansa, yet it still has a hint of rasp to it once you give it some throttle. I prefer my Ansa, but at least now I know what Borla sounds like! And it isn't a bad thing. Might be just what someone else loves.

I took it out on the interstate, and got it up to 90. Everything felt solid and secure. No pulling, but I could detect some vibration in the steering wheel. 99% sure that the wheels simply need to be balanced.

There was plenty of tire left. Forgot to look at the brand, I can check them later if you're interested.

Overall, a clean car that would make a great daily driver. 4.5 stars out of five.
