I'm a fairly new member but it seems that air intakes are either the short "ram" ones that suck hot air from behind the radiator (in the engine compartment) or the longer ones that suck cold air from in front of the radiator. Dont the front radiator ones (like needswings) have smaller diameter tubing so I dont see the benefit.

Anyways I dont see how there could be a benefit from either one:
-Sucking hot air thru a large diameter tube
-sucking cold air thru a smaller diameter tube.

Anyone who would like to shed some light and en"light"en me, I would appreciate it.
