I just took both the SSB(SL55 intake) and the Aero(NW Dual) in to DEQ for checking for registartion and they both passed with flying colors... they dont even lift the hoods these day here.... just plug into the OBD port and get the numbers and look for DTC's... they use a sniffer in the exhaust on some cars...
I'm glad you had no issues w/ your inspection. I don't know if I would be so lucky here in CA. but I would just swap over to stock beforehand. The only issue would be any surprise inspection! And with CA allegedly being broke, they may start working this revenue maker in more places,more often.
