3000 rpms will likely be safe but,your clutch on a Crossie does not engage quickly.
That's whyit is hard to burn the rears with a stick. You can torque up the automatic and do it but the heat will hurt the tranny.
The manual clutch is hydraulic which has a limited engagement flow. Your best bet it to engage it at lower RPMs (2K) and then accelerate. Depending on the throttle response (can you say Sprint Boooster) you can, with practice, time it to maximize the thrust torque of the engine to the engagement potential of the clutch.
Once you are lauched and out of first, the rest of the gears snap easily.
If you want better, put the car on a rack and pull the clutch assy.
Like I said, it wasn't designed for drag raciing.
