Angry Re: tire puncture kit

Hmmm I also picked up a plug kit at Wal-Mart. Unfortunately I needed one!

Mine came with 5 plug strips, a "T" insertion tool and "T" clean-out tool. It did not come with any rubber cement so I picked up a tube. I was able to plug my front tire without removing it. I did use my floor jack to support most ot the weight of the car but surprisingly it did not loose that much air.

My air pump DID NOT WORK! I discovered that the lead going to the left (back, whatever) plug had fallen out. Not exactly a quality crimp job! I recrimped the wire into the connector and all was well. I'm glad I wasn't stranded along side of the highway trying to use the tirefix system.

Anyhow, two days and no air loss. I'll keep an eye (rather gauge) on it for a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will be fine, the tires only have 4,000 miles.

Here's a picture of the nail, kind of can't miss it!
