It looks like a screw if you know its a screw, I enlarged the photo and you can just make out threads, if you know they are threads.
I answered this thread because I thought the price was outrageous and was willing to put my 1.5 cents in.
I'd break the part if I had to, get at the screw and yank it out, replace the screw with one that bit into the stripped hole and put all back together. Worry about it later if it happened again and save my money now.
But I'm a cheap Canadian not a rich American. That's why I only put 1.5 cents in. 
THANKS FOR THE INPUT ,,I believe that is what i will do try and pull it out and replace with bigger screw if needed ,, see even a poor Canadian can have a good cheap idea when tasked......
