i REALLY DO TRY TO NOT TO GET INTO EVERY PLAYGROUND TIFF, BUT.
The first connector is dirty and old, it has a male threaded fastener.
The second clean connector is female, which means that the male pin unscrewed from the connector shell and not the connector. They are doing it and if its a TSB, go for it, but otherwise Id go with the northamericans idea. However they (dealer) do in their shop their way and wishing it otherwise is a bit late at this time, so you may go with the flow.

Me Id rip it out and go without and use the twist lock to hold the whole mess together. Woody
