Dudes. The plug pictured above "screws" into this connector.



The plug in turn "grabs" the wire harness when you spin the outer collar on the plug. I don't think the entire assembly would hold by just spinning the collar. Unless the collar actually locks onto the trans housing. Don't remember.
I could be wrong. It's been awhile since I played with this particular area.
