Kev you're absolutely right. I talked to several tire dealers and most of them admit, that it's just money business. As you correctly said, the normal air contains ~80% N2. You lose pressure anyway. Maybe because N2 is lighter than air the loss it slower. But the as soon as you need to inflate you got to find N2 - and it's never for free.
