At the time (in 2005) I bought a new base coupe. I could have spent a couple extra thousand for the limited but didn't want all those extras. The base coupe fit me perfectly. I wanted black and didn't like the silver exterior trim. I didn't want leather because it cracks and is too hot in Texas for leather. And I didn't want power seats because my fear is that the motor would break one day without a warranty. And who cares about heated seats in South Texas? And I never use fog lights. Not to mention I wanted a stick shift. Who needs a crappy cup holder?.... base came with a tray.
To me the base coupe was a perfect fit. My decision had nothing to do with money... even though it was conveniently priced lower than a limited.
