Luggage Manufacturer
Thanks Mouserider. I took your advice and called Chryslers 1-800-992-1997 number. After 15 minutes of answering touch tone questions I got to talk to a real live humanbeing. Jim said he didn't deal with the luggage but would find out who did and transfer me and then he put me on hold. 20 minutes later he came back on to let me know that he hadn't forgotten about me and was having to go through e-mails to find out who I needed to talk to and put me on hold again. 15 minutes later he came back on and said Chrysler didn't handle the luggage themselves, it is made and shipped by a company called ALCOMS(his spelling) and their number is 1-866-871-1326. He said if I called I would get a machine and have to leave a message and contact number, but he transfered me directly. I got a machine that said all their associates were currently busy and to please hold for the next available one. About a minute later the machine came on and told me to leave a brief message and contact number, this was 1:30 pm cst 1/5/04. Today(1/7/04) at 11:35 am cst they called back and said my dealer had waited 15 days to send in the paperwork and that was what had run the luggage late(blah blah blah, blah blah blah, blah blah blah). Then they said the luggage had been shipped and with 3 days shipping I should get it on Friday. That means they shipped it on Tuesday after I had called on Monday. I was born in rural Alabama and may look dumb but that's just a disguise. If you have to deal with any of these people be polite, be patient, and keep swapping the phone from ear to ear so you don't cut off the circulation and one of them falls off.
Later,
Scott
