It nearly all went horribly wrong
Hi everyone
I am a new member who is picking up a brand new black xf roadster on Monday. However, my RenaultSport clio 172 (px for the xf) nearly got trashed today in a really big bad way. I’m still shaking…. I could well have missed out on the xf for quite a while and would now be sorting insurance claims and stuff…
While heading for the ferry on the pile of ***** (Isle of Wight UK). Some muppet just stopped in front of me (with no indication) in order to turn right (across the traffic in UK). I seriously got to test the ABS in my clio for the first time (in three years), the clio worked well even though the road was flooded (weather in south UK at moment is atrocious). Just as I was breathing a really big sigh of relief I looked in my rear view mirror and to my horror saw a big VOLVO estate heading for the back of my car at what seemed terminal speed.
The VOLVO driver decided to take the right turn rather than plow my ****. He did this across the traffic just clipping the edge of my body work. How he got away with it I will never know…. he must have missed the oncoming traffic by about an inch or so.
Fingers crossed, the DC dealer will not even notice the new scratches on my previously concourse condition clio sport. I know he is selling it on. It seems a real shame that a car that has been kept immaculate for more than three years will go to a new owner in a less than perfect condition.
