Default Re: Shop Manual For Oil Change?

I just did my first oil change; I have to admit that I was a bit intimidated at first with all of the O-rings and the lower pan cover.

However, let me put your mind to rest, it just isn’t that difficult and with the exception of the oil filter it is just like changing oil in any other car.

While the oil is draining, pull the oil filter out. Wrap a rag around the filter housing to catch any drips. Have newspapers spread on a workbench or on the floor. Pull the filter out, have an old rag to hold the bottom stem and catch any oil dripping.

Lay the filter on the newspapers; take note of how and where the O-rings are. Open the baggie with the new O-rings and lay them out on a clean spot in the order that they need to be reinstalled. Remove the filter and the old O-rings.

Slip on the new filter and O-rings and reinstall in the filter housing.
