Talking AM I off center??? Please take this test at home

I ran across a simple observation in my crossfire while trying to align it in the garage. The effort I was going thru, was to get the car in the same - correct spot each time so that it is positioned over the spot the lift hits the frame just right.

As I rolled in and out of the garage I noticed something that I have also found in my 2004 Durango and 2009 1500 Ram I just got. ---- The steering wheel is not in front of me----.

???? What does that mean??? Whell if I sit in the seat correctly and then shut my eyes and then reach forward to touch the steering wheel on a line that is straight in front of my nose with either hand, the hand is about 2" to the right of the center of the steering wheel AND speedometer.

Sit in your car, get comfy, be centered in the seat and then shut your eyes and take one and either hand from your nose forward to what you think is the center line of your head and body. When you touch the steering wheel, open your eyes and note its position with the imaginary centerline going thru the speedo and steering wheel. Sorta like one of DOCs sobriety tests but in the car!

Id be interested to hear of your findings. I have never noticed this till I was concentrating on the positioning of my car in the garage. My other cars are the same, off set by about 2" to the right.?

I actually cant move closer to the door to get my sight line to match up with the center line of the steering wheel and the speedo. This is amazing to me and sort of an oddity.

My crossfire seat is lowered but the seat is bolted thru the same holes in the frame of the car so that aint it. The other vehicles have had no seat modifications at all FYI. Odd
