I just went throuth this area yesterday on my way home from Fayetteville NC in my Crossfire. Actually I was on I40 and turned north at Knoxville on I 75, very close to the dam. It was a good drive. Some road work at many points all along but certainly not the worst I've ever seen. Most places there wasn't any one working just signs. At a few places we saw a few leaves turning already.
